The mini aussie is a smaller version of the standard aussie. The size range is from 13" to 17" for the mini and 13" and under for the toys. At maturity the mini will weight approximately 15 to 35 pounds. Where as the toy will be between 8 and 15 pounds. They are very athletic and alert. They come in colors of blue merle, red merle, black or red, all with or without copper/tan and white trim. There eyes may be blue, brown, amber, or one blue, one brown, flecked or marbled. The tails are sometimes natural bobs or they may be docked.The mini aussie is easily trained and a natural protector of the home. They are very confident, and most all have a natural herding instinct. The Miniature Australian Shepherd is recognized by the American Rare Breed Association. They can be registered with the North American Miniature Shepherd Club of the U.S.A.(NAMASCUSA), The National Stock Dog Registry (NSDR), and Miniature Australian Shepherd Club of America (MASCA) Here at the KT Quarter Horses through careful and selective breeding we can offer you beautiful and healthy horses as well as puppies.
